DG 5.5 Construction

The construction of the DG 5.5 is nearing completion. The boat will soon be launched for its first sea trials!

The DG 5.5 was built using highly sustainable methods: no molds, wood and partially bio-based epoxy resin, and recycled carbon fibers. The CO2 emissions are excellent, with a 30% reduction compared to a similar unit made of composite materials.

We drastically reduced waste during manufacturing. By using wood, the workshop is also free of dust harmful to the health of the workers and the environment.

On the first model, we also placed great importance on maximizing reuse (mast, sails, rigging).
