Stéphane Le Diraison

Passionate about the sea, Stéphane Le Diraison began his career as a naval engineer/architect at the French Nautical Industries Federation (FIN), then joined ICNN where he conducted numerous technical surveys on pleasure craft. In 2008, he joined Bureau Veritas as structure and hull surveyor before becoming head of Marine Renewable Energies, thus combining engineering and environmental commitment.

In 2011, he founded Arcus, a company with which he leads the design and optimization of racing sailboats, participating in major ocean races, including the 2016 and 2020 Vendée Globe.

Since 2018, he has been developing boats with a low environmental impact under his brand, Time For Oceans. The DG 5.5, a 5.5-meter scow with a CO2 footprint reduced by 30%, was exhibited at the 2025 Grand Pavois boat show. He is also investing in sailing-powered maritime transport with Insail, which will launch its first route to the Canary Islands in 2027.

A sailor with an impressive track record, Stéphane takes companies and individuals aboard his sailboat, Time For Oceans II, for themed sailing sessions and immersive experiences.

Time For Oceans II

A passionate and professional offshore racer, finisher of the 2020-2021 Vendée Globe and 12th in the 2018-2021 IMOCA Globe Series World Championship, I now offer my experience and passion for the sea to those who wish to experience a true maritime adventure.

Holder of a 200 GT Master Mariner’s Certificate, I have spent many years sailing on all the world’s oceans. My pleasure: to share, pass on, and introduce others to offshore sailing in the best possible conditions of safety and enjoyment.

Low environmental impact construction

Since 2018, Time For Oceans has been developing design and construction methods that significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions during the building of a recreational or racing vessel.
