Sea Trial of the DG 5.5

After the Grand Pavois boat show in La Rochelle, we optimized the preparation of the DG 5.5. Fine-tuning a sailboat always takes some time. We worked on the rigging, deck hardware, rudders, and numerous other improvements.

The weather conditions that day were perfect for testing the modifications at sea: a light breeze, sunshine, almost summer-like weather. With Jérôme Clément, the boat’s designer, we sailed around the harbor in front of Patrick Le Lay’s camera. A big thank you for the quality of the photos!

The boat’s handling is excellent: fast, balanced, stiff under sail, very easy to use, a real pleasure. The cockpit is enormous for a boat of this size, allowing easy movement from the transom to the bow.

Thanks also to Temo (www.temofrance.com) for providing us with their stylish 1 kW electric motor, perfectly suited to the DG 5.5.

The DG 5.5 is now available for purchase: for orders placed before the end of 2025, we anticipate delivery in spring 2026.
